MR. CHARLES EDISON BIGGER FLEET ADVOCATED (Reed. Jan. 3, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Jan. 1. President Roosevelt has appointed Mr. Charles Edison as Secretary of the Navy. Mr. Edison is a strong advocate of a larger navy. He has acted as secretary since the death of Mr. A. C. Swanson.
