(Herald Correspondent.) On New Year’s. Eve the MakarakaMatawhero Hall was the scene of a very successful dance organised by the Gisborne Professional' Sports Club. There was a good attendance, and a very enjoyable time was spent, , the music being played by Stuart Skeet's orchestra. 1
Tennis proved popular at the Kia Ora Club’s courts at Bushmere last weekend. Club Star matches have commenced, and the first round for the Ch'risp Cup competition shortly will be played.
