MR. NASH CRITICISED

DAIRY PRICE DECISION NORTHLAND ATTITUDE (Per Proas Association.) WHANGAREI, this day. Mr. A. J. Murdoch, northern ward representative on the • Dairy Board, speaking at the Northland dairy companies’ conference, said the Minister of Marketing, the Hon. W. Nash, had mentioned his name among those in the industry consulted by him.

‘We certainly met ttie Minister,” said Mr. Murdoch, "but it was obvious that his mind was made up. He always acted in accordance with preconceived ideas.”

The Minister’s departure from the advisory committee's recommendation could be regarded as a breach of an arbitration court finding, Mr. Murdoch added.

Mr. Tremaine, representing the Whangarei Dairy Company, said that a similar disregard of an industrial award would end in a strike in New Zealand but the loyalty of dairy farmers was unquestionable. All they asked was for economic justice.
