GOOD FRUIT PRICES
LAST SEASON’S RETURN That the call on the Government, guarantee for last year’s fruit export would be the lightest for some years was mentioned in an interview by Mr. D. S. McLeod. Hawke’s Bay representative on the New Zealand Fruit Export Control Board. He stated that all varieties of apples had sold at satisfactory rates that would lift them above the guarantee level, and the only class of fruit which would make any call On the guar&ntec at all would be certain varieties of pears.
