CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION OFFICERS SELECTED (Per Press Association.) ... WELLINGTON, this d;IL Two of Wellington's best-known police officers have been appointed to the staff which is to do duty at the Centennial Exhibition. Tlie station will be under the direction of sub-inspector D. J. O’Neill and the senior member of the detective staff will be Detective-Sergeant P. Doyle.
The force, exclusive of these two officers, will consist of four ser-
i geants, four detectives and 21 conI stables. The oflicers will be sergeants Beard, Johnston and Alsopp, WcilI ington. and W. S. Brown, Auckland. ! Plain-clothes men are Detectives Halcrovv, Christchurch, Gibson, Dunedin, W. Ritchie, Wellington, and 11. A. Wilson, Auckland.
