Almora Returns To Winning Form In Race At Woodville

PALMERSTON NORTH, December 10 (P.A.). —The Woodville Jockey Club’s meeting was concluded under fairly favourable conditions. There were several light showers and a strong breeze. The totalisator turnover was £63,345 10s, including £5526 on the double machine, compared with £43,941 on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £127,347, as against £83,717 10s. the increase being £43,629 10s The Almora-Ptolemy double paid £47 16s for £l. After the running of the second division of the Novice Stakes W. Lepper, rider of Sly Dash, which interfered with Regency Buck, ridden by K. Ford, which in turn interfered with Lord Neptune, ridden by C. A. Dowry, was fined £5 for careless riding. Remaining results:—'
