SAFE BLOWERS’ HAUL AT AUCKLAND
AUCKLAND, This Day Cash and cheques totalling about £B5O were taken from a safe blown open in the basement of Barker and Pollock Ltd., dress goods specialists, Queen street, some time during the week-end. , ~ The thieves entered through the main door. They piled bolts of dress material about the safe to muffle the explosion. The safe was wrecked and a quantity of the dress material was damaged. j 1 . More than £BOO of the total stolen was in cash and represented the whole of Friday’s takings.
