Hearing Of Test Leasehold Cases Postponed

The settlement of the question of the level of rentals for leasehold properties in the Greymouth Maori reserve will be further delayed as a result of the postponement of the hearing of cases to have been conducted in an arbitration move at Greymouth tomorrow. It was announced today that the hearing will now take place on a date to be fixed probably early in the New Year.

Representatives of the Maori Trustee and of the leaseholders were to have argued lor and against a proposed increase in rentals, in relation to several selected test cases, before a Christchurch valuer as an independent “umpire.”
