Policy Of No Appeasement
' The United States Secretary of 1 State (Mr Dean Acheson) told Congressional committees today that the British and American “no appeasement” policy applied with the same full force in the Far East as it did in Europe. Mr Ahceson said that the United States was definitely and firmly opposed to any appeasement in the Far East. The same unwavering stand against aggression and imperialism must be made in the East as in the West.—Washington, Dec. 9.
