SLIGHT RECESSION IN WOOL PRICES
PERTH, This Day (Rec. 10.30 a.m.). —At Perth wool sale today 18,000 bales were offered and 95 pei' cent, was sold. Competition was well spread and was consistent from the Continent, Britain and America. Compared with the September sale good Merino fleece was 10 per cent, lower, average to inferior Merino 5 to 10 per cent, lower, and Merino skirtings 5 per cent, lower. Comebacks and Crossbreds sold in the buyers’ favour. The top price was 172 d for superfine Merino.
