DELEGATION FROM RED CHINA VISITING BRITAIN

LONDON, September 29 (Rec. 10.30 a.m.). —The first delegation from China to visit Europe since the creation of the Communist Republic arrived in London today. Mr Liu Ning-yi vice-chairman of the 4,000,000 strong All-China Federation of Labour led the seven delegates, who are here to tell Britain what is happening in the New Republic. He said he was very optimistic about future relations between China and Britain. Mr Liu Ning-yi i§ understood to be in the highest councils of the Communist Party in China. The mission’s chief purpose was to attend a meeting in celebration of the anniversary of the New Republic’s foundation, called by the China Friendship Association, he said, but the general aim of the delegation was to promote friendship between the Chinese and British peoples. China firmly believed that this was possible.
