SEGREGATION IN AFRICA
CAPE TOWN, Sept. 29 (Rec. noon).—The Group Area Act, proclaimed today, gives the Malan Government the power to segregate whites, Indians and natives into separate area’ From now on it will be possible tor Africans and Indians to be evicted without redress if the Minister of the Interior decides they are living in “a white area.” Inspectors, with the right to enter houses, .seize documents and question the occupants, are likely to be appointed.
