CLYDE BRIDGE IN MAIN EVENT AT OTAKI MEETING

The South Island horseman, A. J. Stokes, may go close to winning the double on the second day of the Otaki-Maori Racing Club’s meetingtomorrow when he will pilot Clyde Bridge and Admiral’s Choice. Clyde Bridge, formerly trained at Halswell, ran an excellent race last Saturday to run third to Royal Crown and Biassed after making most of the pace, and the Foxbridge gelding promises to be in the hunt again tomorrow. at the finish. Most of those engaged tomorrow raced last Saturday and one of the most likely improvers is the useful handicapper, Gay Gordon, who finished close up in fourth place on opening day. Sonata is a newcomer and the Coronach mare will carry heavy support as she has been racing consistently.
