GOLF LARGE ENTRIES IN GREYMOUTH CLUB’S WINTER TOURNAMENT
The Greymouth Golf Club's winter championship tournament, postponed from King’s Birthday weekend. will be played tomorrow at the Kaiata links. Fifty-eight entries have been received and most clubs on the West Coast will be represented.
Included in the field are C. Harrison, of Westport, a former Greymouth Club player who this year won the West Coast senior championship at the Kawatiri links, F. Gardyne, who won the Inangahua championship last week-end. and L. Domigan, of the Greymouth Club, who defeated B. W. Caulton for the senior chib championship recently. The match will be played over 36 holes. The present rule of preferred lines, that is, placing the ball with the club head a distance of six inches, not nearer the hole, will be observed.
