OTAGO MURDER MYSTERY IS STILL UNSOLVED

DUNEDIN, This Day (P.A.)—lt was just a year ago today—September 28, 1949 —that the body of William Fraser Macintosh, 63-year-old farmer of Moa Creek, Central Otago, was found battered to death on the floor of his own woolshed.

Despite intensive police inquiries which culminated in the inquest last April, the murderer is still at large. The reward of £5OO offered for information or evidence leading to the conviction of the person or persons responsible for Macintosh’s death, was extended for a second six months, which ends on Saturday.
