Railwayman’s Funeral

The funeral o£ Mr Frederick Andrew Stade, the nightwatchman whose battered body was found in the Wellington railway station concourse in the early hours of Thursday morning, took place on Saturday morning, from the Anglican Church, Brooklyn. Six railwaymen, friends of Mr Stade, pall—bearers, those present included the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Fraser), railways officials and representatives of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants. —(P.A.)
