BRITISH MINERS BLAME SOVIET FOR KOREAN WAR
LONDON, August 12.—The Sunday Dispatch reports that a cablegram was sent to Mr Stalin today on behalf of 100,000 Durham miners, sayin«: “Withdraw Communist forces from Southern Korea so that peace The cablegram placed the blame for the Korean war and its tnreat to world peace on the “obstructionist tactics” of the Soviet Union and its satellite Communist parties. The miners also pledged full support for the British Governments action in giving every assistance to the United Nations “in its _ stand against unprovoked Communist aggression in Korea.” . Among the five agents who signed the cablegram is the chairman of the British Labour Party, Mr Sam Watson. - The significance of the Durham miners’ action is that the miners’ national secretary, Mr Arthur Horner, is himself a Communist. The action demonstrates the lack of success of Communist propaganda in Britain on Korea. .
