Difficulty In Filling European Migrant Draft

WELLINGTON, This Day (P.A.). The 1000 displaced persons expected in New Zealand in September will probably not arrive until later, as the New Zealand selection committee in Europe found fewer available in the required categories than expected.

Only 600 of the 1000 have been selected so far, said an immigration official today, and of these about 400 did not fall into the priority categories which New Zealand was hopeful of filling. The committee would not now complete its work until late next month, and the September arrival of displaced persons might be delayed.
