JAPANESE TEXTILE INDUSTRY’S PLANS

WASHINGTON, June* 23 (Rec. 12.15 a.m.). —Japan’s textile industry should be allowed to expand its production, a Senate judiciary sub-com-mittee recommended today. The sub-committee urged the United States to approve a Japanese application for an increase of 800,000 spindles. This would lessen the American taxpayers’ contribution to Japanese economy.
