SCHOOL POSITIONS DIFFICULT TO FILL
CHRISTCHURCH, This Day (O.C.) —Of twenty-three positions advertsed this month and dealt with by the appointments committee of the Canterbury Education Board, no fewer than 13 of the positions had to be readvertised, said the chairman of the appointments committee (Mr A. Greenwood) at a meeting of.the board yesterday. “We had thought of advertising positions for either men or women,” said Mr Greenwood, “but we decided that this would not be possible as most of the positions are in twoteacher schools and the positions are suitable only for women.”
