FIVE KILLED BY TERRORISTS IN MALAYAN AMBUSH
SINGAPORE, March 31 (Rec. 10 a.m.)—Five members of the Security forces were killed today in an ambush in the Bahau area of Negri Sembilan State when terrorists employed electrically-detonated roadside bombs. Those killed comprised three troops of the Greqn Howards Regiment and two policemen. Two others—a Green Howards troop and a European assistant estate manager—were wounded. The whole of Kelantan State in North Malaya, with a population about 500,000, has been declared a controlled ‘area in which foodstuffs cannot be moved at night. It was in the Guamusang area of Kelantan that terrorists killed 18 members of the security forces in an ambush last Saturday and themselves lost 25 to 30 persons.
