Public Service Junior and Senior Shorthand and Typewriting Examinations will be held on June 17, 1950. No applicant who has not previously passed ‘ the junior Grade may enter for the Senior Grade unless also entering for the Junior. . ... The following examinations will be held on 24th June, 1950, in centres where there are sufficient canADVANCED EXAM.: Shorthand 130 words per minute; typewriting 50 words per minute; confused manuscript test. Entrants must have previously passed Senior Examination. SPECIAL EXAM.: Shorthand 150 words per minute; typewriting 50 words per minute; confused manuscript test. Entrants must have previously passed Advanced Examination. Exception is made only where the Commission is satisfied that candidates who have not passed any Public Service Examination for Shorthand Typists are up, to the standard of the examination below the one entered for. Each case will be decided on its merits. The syllabus for the examinations has been revised. Copies of the new syllabus have been sent to all Commercial. Schools, Post Primary schools anti Representatives of the Commission. All applications must be made through a school teacher or other accredited person, and wilrmot be accepted direct from individual candidates. Candidates who intend to sit for more than one examination must make application on separate entry forms. Applications close on 28th April, 1950, but late entries will be received at.
