Petrol Imports Pegged
SYDNEY, This Day (Rec 1 p.m.).— The oil industry believed that no matter how much sterling petrol was imported there would be no. increase in the total quantity of petrol available, said the general secretary of the Service Station Association of New South Wales, Mr C. A. Gregory. He added that the Federal Government had pegged the annual imports of petrol at 440,000,000 gallons and would hold them at that figure.
