PARLIAMENT TRIBUTE TO LATE MRDOWNIE STEWART

WELLINGTON, October 4 (P.A.) —ln respect for the memory of the late Mr W. Downie Stewart, a former Minister of the Crown, the House of Representatives adjourned this afternoon after references were made to his indomitable courage in the face o* physical infirmities from which he suffered after service in France in the First World War. The House adopted a resolution recording Mr Downie Stewart’s devoted and distinguished, services to New Zealand and the British Commonwealth and expi-essed its sympathy to his relatives. . The House adjourned at 3.40 p.m. uhtil 2.30 p.m, tbihorfcow.
