LONDONERS DEPRIVED OF MEAT BONUS

LONDON, October 4 (Rec 10 a.m,). —For the third successive week Londoners are not likely to get the sixpenny meat bonus pro-, mised by the Government because of a “go slow” by porters demanding more pay for handling the extra meat.

The Food Ministry fears there is a risk of fresh meat going bad while the “go slow" lasts and it is being diverted from the London market to the provinces. Only frozen meat from the Argentine and New Zealand is reaching London.
