The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— Situation: An anti-cyclone, is moving to the east of the North Island; a complex system of depressions is ©ver the Tasman Sea and south of New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m. tomorrow: Moderate to strong north to north-west winds; widespread .rain, but rain easing from the south early tomorrow; temperatures mild. Further outlook: Unsettled. Moderate, sea Rainfall yesterday 0.27 in Rainfall to date this year .... 72.30 in Sunshine yesterday 4.5 hr Sunshine to date this year .. 1230.7 hr The depth on the bar at high water yesterday was 22ft.
