BAN ON POLITICAL PROCESSIONS IN LONDON AREA

. LONDON, October 3 (Rec. 11 a.m.). —All political processions in the metropolitan area were today banned for three months. The ban will become effective from midnight tonight, the eve of the planned march through the East End by Sir Oswald Mosley’s Union (Fascist) Movement.

The order was signed by the Home Secretary, Mr Chuter Ede, after he had received protests against the proposed march. The London District Trade Council told Mr Ede that such a march would provoke the people in the district.
