DUNEDIN CENTRAL SEAT

DUNEDIN, This Day (P.A.).—Mr D. Murdoch has been selected as the National Party' candidate to content the Dunedin Central seat against Mr. P. G. Connolly, M.P., at the general election. Mr Murdoch was born in North Otago and has been identified with the interests of the province all his life. He originally studied for an arts course at the Otago University, but later decided to go on the land and successfully engaged in farming. He has been in business at Brighton for the past 20 years. In 1943 Mr Murdoch contested the South Dunedin seat as a National Party candidate against the Minister of Defence, Mr Jones.
