Ljndbom will be played at centre and Goldworthy will .be a lock for the first time. . Lindbonr vzas first chosen for the team as second five-eighth, but the I defection of Gillan with a knee injury —the eighth player more or less seriously hurt —resulted in his transfer to centre and Breeze has been brought into the team. Two of the injured players, Walker and Mathieson, left today on their return for Hokitika and Greymouth respectively. McKendry, who was hurt in Dunedin, may play in the Canterbury match as his injuries were found on medical examination yesterday to be a torn cartilage in the chest and not a broken rib. as first suspected.
