WHEN A TIGER MOTH, the property of the Hawke’s Bay and East Coast Aero Club, which be was piloting crashed at Elsthorpe, 35 miles from Hastings,, about mid-day on Saturday, severe head injuries were received by Mr Morris Leslie Dunn, aged 20, of Hastings. Dunn was making a low run over the-Tiffen estate when the plane nose-dived into the ground from a height of about 50 ‘feet. Dunn was flying solo at the time of the accident and was later admitted to the Hastings Memorial Hospital, where his condition was reported to be fairly satisfactory. The plane was badly damaged.
