Mine-Lift Operators Come To Agreement
LONDON, August 16 (Rec 10 a.m.). —The leaders of the 1580 mine-lift operators decided today to call off their strike, threatened for next Friday, which would have caused an estimated 70 per cent, loss in Britain’s output. After a conference at the Labour Ministry they decided to accept the offer of the Arbitration on their wage increase demand.
