British Employment
Under the heading, “Ninety-nine Britons Out of a Hundred are on the Job ” the British Labour Party’s newspaper, the Daily Herald, says that employment in Britain continues to rise. a new post-war record was reached at the end of June, with 22.157,000 men and women in jobs. The increase m June was 21,000, and the total is 230,000 more than a year ago.—London, August 16.
