Field-Marshal Von Manstein
Renter says that two British counsel. Mr Reginald Thomas Paget and Mr Samuel Charles Silkin, will accept the joint defence of Field-Marshal- von Manstein when .finance questions are clarified. The British counsel will be assisted by two German lawyers, Dr Fans Laternser and Dr Paul Leverkuehn. The public collection for FieldMarshal von Manstein’s defence is now about £lOOO. The trial is to open on August 23 before a British war crimes tribunal at Hamburg.—London, August 1.
