CRICKET Rain Prevents Play In N.Z. Match At Swansea

SWANSEA, August 1 (Rec 10 a.m.) —After Wallace and Mooney had added 18 runs in 20 minutes off Woolier and Hever, bowling'with the new ball, on the second day of the New Zealand-Glamorgan match at Swansea, steady, misty rain swamped the ground and teemed down for the remainder of the day. A large crowd of bank holiday-makers tramped away disconsolate. If the rain ends during the night, play can be continued on the third day, for the entire wicket has been covered, but the only hope New Zealand have of a win is to oblige Glamorgan to follow on and remove them twice in one day. The New Zealand score is six for 378 (Wallace not out 169, Mooney not out 14).
