MOSLEM LEAGUE DEMANDS RECALL OF GOVERNOR

LAHORE, May 23 (Rec. 2 p.m.).— The Working Committee of the West Punjab Moslem League today demanded the immediate recall of Sir Francis Mudie, British Governor of the province and the appointment of a Pakistani in his place. Sir Francis assumed the administration of the province in January when the Governor-General, Khwaja Nazimuddin, dismissed the Provincial Government and the Legislature because “Public life had been demoralised by corruption.” He had recently been criticised by a section of the Pakistan press.
