INFANT’S SUDDEN DEATH AT TE KINGA
As she was being nursed by her father, just after being fed last evening, the three-and-a-half-months-old daughter of Mr and Mrs R. J. Abbott, of Te Kinga, collapsed and died. Dr W. R. Stewart, of Wallsend, proceeded to Te Kinga, but the baby was beyond aid. An inquest was opened at Greymouth this afternoon, before the District Coroner, Mr M. J. Fogarty, J.P., and a post-mortem examination was ordered. Pending the result of this examination, the cause of the baby’s sudden collapse is unknown.
