The General Synod of the Church of England approved yesterday of the constitution of the Now Zealand
Council lor Christian Education, and decided to appoint members to it. 'Hie objects of new organisations include ihe work at present done by the Bible-in-Schools League. The Primate (Archbishop West-Watson) said it was hoped to retain all that was good in the' Bible-in-Schools League and carry forward the work of encouraging Christian education in modern condi lions.— (P.A.»
