Customs Union For Scandinavia
“Sweden,. Norway, and Denmark announced today,that they were considering forming <a Scandinavian customs union with a 1 uniform tariff system,” says Reuter’s correspondent in Annecy. The joint statement said that the union might include Iceland. “The announcement was made at the conference of 35 countries which are meetingat Annecy to discuss plans, to reduce tariff barriers.”—London, April 13,
Mixed Geography Geography does not seem to be a strong point in the new democratised Germany. Fourteen-year-old Karin Roll, of Berlin wrote to “The Chief Editor of the lokal newspaper in Aukland” to ask for her address to be given “to some children in America who would correspond with her. The Herald, to whom her letter was delivered, has passed on the request to the United States Consulate in Auckland.
