Runanga Women’s Guild

The fortnightly meeting, of the Runanga Co-operative Women’s Guild was held recently. The president, Mrs Griffiths welcomed one new member, also Mrs Dinsdale who has returned from England. Mrs Anderson reported on the annual conference held at Palmerston North. Mrs Dinsdale presented all present with tea-caddy spoons. Mrs Dinsdale spoke on difficulties encountered by'British housewives in connection with food and soap shortages. The competition winner was Mrs Nicholson. Supper was served by Mesdames Graham and Rutherford.
