Snowy River Dredge.— Following is the Snowy River dredge return for period ended March 11:—189oz, 55,000 yards, 263 hours. Martha. —The Martha (Waihi) return for the period ended February 26 is:—Operated, 30 days; crushed, 10.526 tons for 2862 fine ounces of gold and 21,135 fine ounces of silver. 1.C.1.A.N.Z. —Directors of Imperial Chemical Industries of Australia and New Zealand have declared a dividend of 5 per cent, on ordinary shares for the year ended September 30, 1948.—(P.A.) Silknit (N.Z.), Ltd.—The net profit of Silknit (N.Z.), Ltd, for the year ended December 31, was £6563, against £6933 in 1947 and £7173 in 1946. Dividend is maintained at 7 per cent., requiring £4500, leaving £2013 to increase the carry-forward to £12,433, subject to deduction for directors’ fees.
