Trial Of Church Leaders

Sir, —According to the latest Seventh-day Adventist official year book published in Washington. D.C., it would appear that Georgi Nikolov Chernev, reported in _ the cabled news of March 9 as being “Chief of the Adventist Avangelical Council,” and sentenced in Sofia, Bulgaria, to life imprisonment, is not a Seventhday Adventist minister. The said year book gives the names and addresses of the leaders of our church in Bulgaria and similar information concerning all the ministers connected with our 39 chtiryhes there. Georgi Nikolov Chernev is not listed, nor does his name appear in the general ministerial directory of the year book, which gives the names and addresses of over 6000 Adventist ministers residing in all parts of the world.—Yours, etc., ' A. R. MITCHELL, President, South New Zealand Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, Christchurch. Christchurch, March 11.
