RUGBY FOOTBALL MR A. McDONALD WILL NOT VISIT COAST THIS YEAR
Arrangements made by the West Coast Rugby Union for Mr A. McDonald, of Wellington, the assistant manager of the All Blacks, to spend a fortnight in the Grey district lecturing to players and coaches before the start of the new Rugby football season, have fallen through. The president of the West Coast Rugby Union, Mr F. W. Baillie, received advice today from Mr McDonald that he had had to cancel his proposed vist to the West Coast because of the earlier sailing of the New Zealand team for South Africa. Mr McDonald apologised for his inability to make the visit, but added that the cancellation was unavoidable.
