Insurgents Attack Oil Centre Near Rangoon
(Recd. 1.30 p.m.) RANGOON, Oct. 19. The Government is rushing troops to Yenangat, a petroleum centre in the Pakokku district, where 100 insurgents, using a locally-made cannon have made an attack, says a communique. It is reported that eight insurgents and two policemen were killed. •. , ' The Associated Press correspondent says it is believed the insurgents are Communists because the White Band anti-governmental ■ activity Jias practically ' ceased.
