The United Nations Political Committee adjourned in a deadlock tonight after a heated discussion on atom bomb control, in which the Eastern and Western delegates accused each other of stubbornness. The chairman. Mr Spaak, appealed to the parties to come nearer agreement overnight. Tomorrow the committee will vote on/the Canadian resolution, the sense of which is to order the Big Five and Canada to meet to determine if a basis for agreement exists.
