CRICKET JOHN REID IS EXPECTED TO MAKE N.Z. TEAM

The manager of the New Zealand cricket team to tour England next yea*. Mr J. Phillipps echoed the thoughts of all who saw* the Hutt-Wellington colts cricket match recently when he said at thp luncheon: “I don't know whether hl wm be ahead of me, or behind me I but going up that gangway somewhei will be John Reid.” . „ Although Reid had his moments of indecision early-he snicked one: or- two throu°h slips—he quickly settled down and after he reached double figures he looked as immovable at the wickets ps a well-seasoned test player.
