RUGBY LEAGUE KOHINOOR CLUB CLOSES YEAR
The annual social of the Kohinoor Rugby League Club was held at the Blaketown Hall on Saturday afternoon, Mr N. C. Messenger presiding over a large attendance of players, parents and supporters. The following trophies were presented:— Campbell Cup, fourth grade champions; Clarke Cup, fifth grade championship; Pollock Memorial Cup, fifth grade one round competition; Hobbs Memorial Cup and miniature (club spirit), J. Dobbin; W. Messenger Cup and miniature (most improved player), E. Brennan; K. Mountfora Cup (most conscientious trainee), W. Cairney; Club Cup (most improved schoolboy), N. Harris. The following toasts were honoured: —Loyal Toast; “West Coast Rugby League” (proposed by Mr E. Kerridge and responded to by Mr T. F. McKenzie) ; “Kohinoor Club” (Mr H. Bullock—Mr C. Morel); “Sister Clubs” (Mr D. Graham—Mr B. Rathbun); “Coaches” (Warren Bullock —Mr W. Hcskins); “Parents and Supporters” (Mr N. Messenger—Messrs E. Harris, W. Messenger, P. Maughan and F. Brennan); “The Ladies” (Mr C. Morel —Mr E. Kerridge).
