EX-GUARDSMAN TO DIE FOR MURDER OF LITTLE GIRL
(Recd. 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 18. An ex-Guardsman, Peter Griffiths, was today sentenced to death for the murder of three-year-old June Devaney, whose body was found in the grounds of Blackburn Hospital. Griffiths was arrested after the biggest fingerprint operation in history of British crime. The police took 46,000 prints of local inhabitants.
