OBITUARY Mr B. J. Williams
The death occurred at Blackball this morning of Mr Benjamin John Williams. Born at Merryweather New South Wales, 68 years ago Mr Williams came to Blackball as a young man and spent many years in the mining industry, being a deputy for the Blackball Coal Co., for several years. He was also employed at Haisty s store. He was well known in musical circles. Mr Williams is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs H. Flynn (North Auckland), Mrs L. Kinsella and Mrs W. Mountford (Blackball) and two sons, Roy. (Christchurch) and Jack (Blackball). The funeral will leave the late residence on Thursday afternoon tor the Blackball cemetery.
