The trial of Edward Horton, blacksmith’s striker, aged 20, who is charged with the murder on September 26 of Katherine Gladys Cranston, is set down for Monday, November 8, in the Supreme Court at Wellington.— (P.A.) £2OO Stolen from House
Money and cheques of a total value of more than £2OO were stolen from the home of Mr E. AV. Stachurski, at Upper Westown, New Plymouth, on Saturday night. Mr and Mrs Stachurski were absent at the time. The money represented the takings at Mr Stachurski’s butchery shop.—(P.A.)
