MOTORIST KILLED WHEN CAR OVERTURNS

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, October 17.

When a motor-car overturned on the West Coast road at Glen Eden at 9 p.m. on Saturday the driver was killed. He was Denis Fredrick Clement, aged 24, a boilermaker, of Torbay. With three companions, Francis Andrew Collier, Leslie Heron, and Roy James Reed, Clement was driving toward Avondale. While turning a corner the car skidded and rolled along the road, coming to rest in the gateway of a house. Clement, Collier, and Heron were thrown out of the car. All three passengers suffered cuts and bruises and were treated at the Auckland Hospital casualty department.
